Glashutte is a small German town and it is where craftsmen first made Glashutte wristwatches were in 1845.

Since 1845 until 2000 the years were not particularly kind to the company and over those 150 years all manner of disasters befell the little company and the town of Glashutte. War, the division of Germany were the main obstacles to expansion but the company soldiered on and if they didn't grow at least they managed to stay in business which says a lot about the quality and desirability of this lovely timepieces.

After German reunification Glashutte prospered, in 1994 they adopted the name Glashutte Original and in doing that the brand as we know today was born, a brand known for perfection and quality and mirrored in our replica watches.
